Holy Week
Thinking this week about Holy week, the sacredness of it. I wish I could find myself sitting in quiet during this whole week with soft worship music and constant reflection about what it was like, what Jesus was like during those days. Obviously with two teenagers at home it is not so quiet throughout this Holy week, but I do think that my reality is still a part of the holy. Living in the day to day is holy. A holiness to loving, parenting, guiding, and taking care of sick kids, as mine have been sick. There is a holiness to patience, devotion, unconditional love for your husband or wife. A holiness in all of the mundane things of life when we live in obedience and sacrifice for one another. It is a reflection of who Jesus was, is and all He wanted us to be. He gave all for us and was broken for us. I'm thankful for His sacrifice and constant love for me. He has been my constant rescuer, friend, and encourager and has loved me always even when I'm not faithful and I don't trust Him or I doubt Him. He is holy and wants us to be holy.
Holiness is hard, but I think we can find it in the everyday. I think when we reflect on who He is and wants us to be we see it clearer. I find myself living out holy in my day to day as I wake up, as I do things I need to do. I find holiness in my obedience to Him. Sometimes just getting out of bed for me can be holy as I'm weary and discouraged. I obey Him and keep moving forward. That is an act of being holy. When I'm doing the laundry, this is holy. I'm taking care of people I love and I'm staying committed to this family that I adore. This is holy.
As you reflect this week on His holiness, be reminded of how we are called to be holy like Him and when you feel sometimes like you aren't living a holy existence, be sure and remember that holiness is in the day to day. It is obedience. It is love. It is pressing on. It is one foot in front of the other. There is holiness in it all if you are willing to see it.

This is so beautiful and filled with the holy spirit. God truly has given you a gift to encourage and bless others. What a sweet Easter gift to all who are blessed to tead this.
